January 2021

Dear Advanced Placement Students and Parents/Guardians,

Please review the following AP information carefully. Good luck on your exam(s)! The College Board provides important information at the student AP website: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/about.html

AP exams cost $94.00 per exam, except for AP Capstone exams (Seminar and Research) which cost $143.00.
If you qualify for a College Board fee reduction, exams are free.

There are five ways to be eligible for fee reductions. They are:

1) Free Lunch Program or 2) Reduced Lunch Program

3) Social Security Program

4) Student receives medical assistance through Medicaid

5) Declaration of Income

The fee reduction/waiver request form is attached and is also available on the RHS website Counseling page under Advanced Placement. In order to receive this discount, you must return the completed form and documentation to the bookkeeper by March 1, 2021. Students who turn in documentation by this date will receive FREE exams for 2020-21.
If you have not submitted the completed form by March 1, you will be charged the full price for your AP exams.

The price worksheet is attached to this letter.  This form is for your use to determine the cost of exams. Please detach the bottom portion of the Price Worksheet and turn in to bookkeeper no later than March 1. Full payment for all exams must be paid by April 1st.

For your convenience, fees may be paid online at www.EZSchoolPay.com.  Once you’ve logged in, choose the Store/Pay Online button to view and select the items available for purchase.  First-time users must register and create a new account.  A convenience fee of $1.65 will be assessed on each transaction to offset the bank fees related to offering this payment option. You may also see the bookkeeper, located near the library, and pay in person by cash or check.

AP Exams will be given primarily in the Rogers High School gym and/or library.  Specific testing locations and arrival times will be shared prior to the exam dates. Students are responsible for their own transportation. AP exams follow strict College Board timelines, which means that students may need to arrive before the school day begins, and/or stay after the school day ends.

If you have any questions regarding AP Testing, please contact your teacher first.  For information on any questions AP teachers cannot answer, you may reach the Counseling Office at (253) 841-8722.

Sincerely,

Brittany Castignanie
