CW3 (RET) Michael Meray graduated from Buena High School located in Sierra Vista Arizona in 1983. CW3 Meray entered the Army October 30th, 1984.

His first duty assignment was HHC, 32nd Support Command in Worms, Germany as a Logistics Supply Specialist. In 1988 he was transferred to the HSC, 864th Engineer Battalion at Fort Lewis, Washington. In 1990 CW3 Meray was assigned to the HHC, 501st CORPS Support group in Seoul Korea.  In 1991 he was assigned to the HHC 593rd Area Support Group and deployed to Somalia, Africa in support of Operation Restore Hope. While assigned there he was promoted to SFC and shortly after that accepted to Warrant Officer School. Shortly after that CW3 Meray completed his initial and advanced officer training and was assigned to the 149th Maintenance Company in Hanau Germany in the Summer of 1994. While assigned there he got attached to the 240th Quartermaster Company and deployed to Taszar Hungary in support of a peace keeping mission for 9 months.  In 1999 he was brought back to Fort Lewis and assigned to the 296th Forward Support Battalion for 3 years. Nearing the end of his career he was assigned again in Korea to the HHD, 194th Corps Support Battalion. After serving a year there he was assigned to his final unit at Fort Lewis Washington, the, 542nd Maintenance Company where after 21 years he retired October 30th, 2005.

CW3 Meray’s Military schools consists of Direct Support Unit Standard Supply System (DS4), Tactical Army Combat Computer System/Standard Property Book System, Master Fitness, Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC) Basic and Advanced Non-Commission Officers Courses, Basic and Advanced Officers Course. His awards consist of: Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, and Overseas Service Ribbon.

CW3 Meray has an AA from Pierce College, a BS from Excelsior College and over 100 semester hours of Educational Courses at St. Martins University, a Career and Technical Education certification from Bates Technical College and currently working on a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership with American Military University. CW3 Meray has been married to the former Barbara Ann Shuman from Savannah Georgia for the past 25 years. He is the proud father of 4 boys: Robert, Desmond, Michael Jr., and Anthony and has 5 grandchildren: Paige, Clayten, Kaylee, Brooklynn, and Ella.

1SG Yusvf K. Brantley is a graduate of Worth County High School and a graduate of Excelsior College in New York. He enlisted in the United States Army and served for 22 years; his MOS (military Occupational Specialty) was 11Z5PF Senior Infantry Sergeant. Some of the key positions 1SG Brantley served in are Mortar Assistant Gunner, Mortar Gunner, Fire Direction Center Chief and Check Computer, Mortar Platoon Section Sergeant, Mortar Platoon Sergeant, Rifle Platoon Sergeant, Rifle Company First Sergeant, Headquarters and Headquarters Company First Sergeant, Basic Airborne Instructor (Black Hat), Drill Sergeant Instructor, Headquarters Company First Army First Sergeant.

1SG Brantley’s awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star w/oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal w/ oak leaf Cluster, Arcom w/ V(valor) device, Arcom w/ silver oak leaf, Army Accommodation Medal w/ silver oak leaf cluster, Aubrey Newman Leadership Award, Combat Infantryman’s Badge w/star, Master, Senior, and Basic Parachutist Badges, Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, SETAF Combat Badge, 1st Armored Division Combat Badge, 2nd Infantry Division Combat Badge, 82nd Airborne Combat Badge, and 2nd Armored Calvary Combat Badge.
